AAL Championship Date set for June 29th at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, WV

American Arena League, CEO, Tony Zefiretto announced, “The American Arena League Championship Game will be played on Saturday, June 29th at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia”.

Two undefeated teams will compete for the 2019 Jack Bowman Trophy. The Southern Conference Champion, Carolina Energy (Charlotte, NC) will meet the Northern Conference Champion, the West Virginia Roughriders.

Last Saturday, the Energy defeated the Atlantic Division Champions, the Carolina Havoc (Florence, SC) and the Roughriders defeated the American Arena League Mid-West Division Champions, the West Michigan Ironmen.

"We are excited to be playing in our third straight championship game, and to be hosting the undefeated Carolina Energy for the Jack Bowman Trophy," stated Roughriders owner, Gregg Fornario.

Carolina Energy owner and Head Coach Ervin Bryson expressed his excitement to have the Energy play for the American Arena League Championship. “We have received tremendous support from the Charlotte community and the staff at Bojangles Coliseum. The wonderful success of the Charlotte Checkers professional hockey team has decreased the number of available home dates, thus, playing on the road was the viable option.” The teams last met in the 2018 American Arena League playoffs.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, June 19th.
